Historien des idées, il a notamment publié « Beyond decolonizing: global intellectual history and reconstruction of a comparative method », in Global Intellectual History, 2019), des articles sur la philosophie de la Mésoamérique (Nahua/Maya), de Kemet (Égypte) et de l’Inde (athéisme, Carvaka/Lokayata) pour l’American Philosophical Association (APA). Il est également le fondateur du Senter for global og komparativ idéhistorie/Center for Global and Comparative History of Ideas (SGOKI).
