Le groupe de travail « Formation à la traduction littéraire » présente le résultat final de ses travaux, le Rapport sur la formation à la traduction littéraire. Pour le moment, le texte entier du rapport n’est accessible qu’en français (avec quelques textes rédigés en anglais sur la situation d’un pays donné).
The working group Training and Education presents the final version of its Report on Training and Education in Literary Translation. For the time being the entire text of the report is available only in French (a few texts concerning the situation in particular countries are also in English).
Le groupe s’est constitué en 2009 au sein du CEATL. Il a pour objectif de rassembler les données concernant la formation du traducteur littéraire aux niveaux national et européen et de fournir ainsi les renseignements pertinents et nécessaires à toute personne intéressée. À cet effet, le groupe a réalisé une première enquête sur les formations existantes dans les États européens représentés au sein du CEATL. L’enquête a mis en évidence les ressemblances et les disparités entre les formations et cursus répertoriés. Certaines tendances relevées pourront fournir la base d’un ensemble de bonnes pratiques à recommander.

The group was formed in 2009 within CEATL with the aim of collecting data on literary translators’ training and education at national and European levels, and thus to provide interested parties with relevant information. To this end the group conducted a survey on training and education practices in the European countries represented in CEATL. The survey highlighted the similarities and differences between the existing practices, both academic and non-academic. Some of the trends outlined form the basis for a set of recommendations.
